Aamir-Anusha Rizvi Fight goes on!

Well the Aamir Khan and Anusha Rizvi war is not yet coming to an end.
Earlier also they both clashed as Anusha felt that Aamir is taking all the credit for her debut direction film ‘Peepli Live’
The latest buzz is that Aamir khan is preparing to promote the film ‘Peepli Live’ at Los Angeles for Oscar Nomination
But director Anusha Rizvi doesn’t want any kind of lobbying for the Oscar level.
She feels that audiences all over the world already know what the film is about and why they should watch it and saying anything more about the film on international platform is just embarrassing
Where as Aamir has been to Oscars earlier for Lagaan and Taare Zameen Par and knows how vital the whole lobbying process before Oscar nomination is. But he doesn’t want to take any chances and wants to give Peepli Live his best shot
Co-producers UTV are now in a fix as they cannot ignore Aamir’s plans for the Oscar nominations and even Anusha Rizvi’s views cannot be bypassed
Well we hope that Aamir and Anusha who are loggerheads with eachother for the Oscar issue soon come up with some solution

Sanjay Plays The Bad Guy In Agneepath

We all know that Rishi Kapoor and Karan Johar had a fall out recently. All this happened because of Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor’s remarks against Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir Kapoor in Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee With Karan’
Rishi Kapoor who was going to act as Villain in Karan Johar’s remake of Agneepath. He was going to play the character which was originally played by Danny Denzongpa.
The film has only two main characters, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan and the bad guy Kancha Cheena.
But since Rishi Kapoor has broken all the ties with his family friend Karan, Sanjay Dutt has now taken his place in the film. He will play the negative character in the film
This is the first time Sanjay Dutt is working with Dharm a Productions.
Sanjay Dutt will be shaving off his head for the film. He is currently busy shooting for other films. Once he is done shooting for those films, a special team of make up artists will come down to India to give him the bald look
Well Karan Johar surely didn’t comment much on this as he wanted to make a big announcement and he did not want Rishi Kapoor to know about it as it may give rise to another fight

Kapoors Mad At KJo

The Koffee With Karan episode featuring Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-flames Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone has surely spoilt the relations between the Kapoor family and show host Karan Johar
Ranbir’s ex-girlfriends Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor poked fun at Ranbir Kapoor throughout the show with their remarks and in fact they went quite overboard about Ranbir on the show
This has angered the Kapoor family.
Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor after she heard the comments passed by Ranbir’s ex ladies on the show actually called up Karan Johar and fired him for allowing this kind of talks on the show
Karan Johar happens to be a very close friend of the Kapoors and the Kapoors least expected this from him. The Kapoors have decided not to keep any relations with him henceforth.
Rishi Kapoor who is equally upset with Sonam & Deepika’s comments on the show advices the two ladies to concentrate on their careers and behave maturely
When asked Karan about the Kapoor Family’s reaction to the whole episode he denied the reports that Neetu Kapoor called him and fired him for the show. He said that they are all rumours and he has also spoken to Ranbir about the same and Ranbir is absolutely cool with it
Well we hope Karan they are all just rumours and all is well between you and the Kapoor family

All is not well between Katrina and Ranbir

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif may not be open about their relationship to the media but the latest reports are that all is not well between the love birds
Katrina Kaif has not been talking much with Ranbir as she is insecure about Ranbir’s growing friendship with his Rockstar co star Nargis Fakhri
Not so long ago it was reported in the newspapers that Ranbir was spotted outside a club getting intimate with Nargis
The two have been spotted spending time together quite a number of times
Katrina thus feels that something is fishy between the two as she feels Ranbir’s attitude has changed towards her and doesn’t behave the same with her the way he used to do it earlier.
But Ranbir maintains his stand that he is just good friends with Nargis and there is no relation between the two
Earlier Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s relationship went sour on the same grounds as at that time Ranbir was getting quite close with Katrina which brought an end to Deepika and Ranbir’s relationship
Looks like history is repeating and Katrina is sailing in the same boat as Deepika today

Shahrukh-Bhansali Friends Again

Two years back Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shahrukh Khan had a fight when Shahrukh’s remarks against Bhansali’s film ‘Saawariya’ had disappointed Bhansali.
Bhansali had in turn passed some remarks against Shahrukh’s film ‘Om Shanti Om’ which released on the same day Saawariya released.
Since that day the two were not on talking terms with eachother.
But with the success of Bhansali’s film Guzaarish, everything has changed.
On Friday night during the private screening of Guzaarish, Shahrukh called Bhansali and they spoke for about 20 minutes
Shahrukh complimented Bhansali on the success of Guzaarish and also told him that Devdas was always his best
Bhansali was also very happy to speak to King Khan after almost two years.
So now the two have buried the past and are friends again.
So as we say there are no permanent friendships or enemies in Bollywood

Hrithik Hospitalized!

Hrithik Roshan who was celebrating the success of his recently released film Guzaarish was rushed to the Kokilaben hospital on Sunday afternoon
Hrithik suddenly suffered some problem in his lungs and his face was also swollen. He couldn’t breathe as well
Actually Hrithik had taken an anti-biotic as her was suffering from chest infection which led to a strong allergy
But it seems it’s quite a while now since Hrithik isn’t keeping well
Even a week before Guzaarish released, Hrithik was suffering from temperature, back ache, muscle pain etc. He even reported late for the promotion of Guzaarish on the show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.
But the Roshan family told the media that Hrithik is now out of danger and will be discharged from the hospital soon.
We wish Hrithik for a speedy recovery!

Akki to leave Rajni and SRK behind

Looks like khiladi no one Akshay kumar is all set to give a takkar to the bollywood badshaah Shahrukh Khan and the God of Indian Cinema Rajnikant
He has signed Shirish Kunder’s film ‘Joker’ which will be produced under his production banner Hari Om Productions
Recently Rajnikanth entertained the audience with his film Robot. The film wwas mainly appreciated for its technical aspects
Even Shahrukh Khan postponed the release of his film Ra.One as he wanted to work more on the technical part of the film and wanted to leave Rajnikanth’s Robot behind
Now Akki is gearing up to leave both Shahrukh’s Ra.One and Rajni’s Robot behind. According to Akshay, Joker will be a 3D film and one of the most technically advanced films of bollywood and will be enjoyed by the audience of all generations.
The actor is also all set to romance the youngest girl of bollywood Sonakshi Sinha in the film
The Dabangg girl is surely pretty lucky as she got the chance to work with one superstar Salman Khan in Dabangg and now she is all set to work with the Khiladi of bollywood Akshay Kumar and is also very excited to work with him
So whether Akki will be able to beat Rajni and Shahrukh or not, lets wait and watch!

Shahid Out Of Mira Nair’s Film

Just few days back directors Mira Nair and Deepa Mehta were fighting over signing Shahid Kapoor for their film. And Shahid had chosen to work in Mira Nair’s film ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’
But now the buzz is that Shahid Kapoor is out of Mira Nair’s film.
Actually Shahid has no dates available for Mira Nair’s film as he is too busy shooting for his daddy dearest Pankaj Kapoor’s debut direction ‘Mausam’ along with Sonam Kapoor.
He didn’t even inform Mira Nair about the non-availability of dates.
Mira Nair wants to start shooting this film early next year.
Thus after getting no news from Shahid for the dates, she started auditioning some fresh faces like Prateek Babbar, Ali Zafar and Rehan Khan without even informing Shahid.
Well if Shahid was a part of this film, this would have been his offbeat role than the roles which he has played in the past
But after Shahid showed so much disinterest, why would a renowned film maker like Mira Nair even wait for him to revert back.
Anyways Shahid better luck next time!

Saif wants to do 'Dream Sequence'

Saif Ali Khan who had refused to work in Vishal Bharadwaj’s film ‘Dream Sequence’ which is produced by Ekta Kapoor is eager to be back in the film
Not so long ago Saif told Bharadwaj that he will agree to do the film only if Bharadwaj agreed for a barter deal. The deal was that bharadwaj would have to direct a film under Saif’s production banner Illuminati Films and that the Chote Nawab would choose the script of the film himself
Vishal was obviously not game for this deal and this is what made saif walk out of ‘Dream Sequence’.
Saif wants to get back in the film. Even Bharadwaj and Ekta are ready to have him on board.
But Bharadwaj has not agreed for the barter deal and even Saif is not stuck with the deal anymore.
But actor Abhay Deol who had almost stepped into Saif’s shoes after he left the film, is not happy with this recent development
Abhay who was very excited to do the film knows that his chances to be in the film are very few.
Bharadwaj and Ekta Kapoor will decide soon whether who is better fit for the film amongst the two actors
So may the best man win!!

Priyanka too sexy to play a nurse

Priyanka Chopra might be the desi girl of Bollywood
But she does have that Oomph factor in her
She got everyone crazy in Dostana by flaunting her sexy curves in the golden swimsuit
It is this oomph factor and sensuality which is making Karan Johar work again on her role in Agneepath remake
Priyanka was supposed to play the role of a nurse which was played by Madhavi in Agneepath. But Karan finds Priyanka too sexy for this role
According to Karan the role played by Madhavi originally is too boring for Priyanka as she is known for her sensuality quotient
So now Priyanka’s character is now being re-written and she will be portrayed in a character which will go with her sensuality quotient
So one thing is for sure Priyanka will not be seen as a nurse in Agneepath 2!

Saif-Bebo at Karan’s rescue

Karan Johar’s illness has caused a lot of problems mainly for his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’. He had recorded four episodes before his illness but the new guests are yet to be decided.
This time Karan wanted to call upon celebs who wanted to promote their films on his show. Like Aamir Khan agreed to come on Koffee with Karan with wife Kiran Rao to promote his film Dhobi Ghat.
Similarly he wanted his favourite director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Hrithik Roshan to be the guests on his show on the evening of the release of Guzaarish.
But both couldn’t make it on his show.
But Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan came to Karan’s rescue. After Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Hrithik Roshan refused to come on the show Karan immediately approached Kareena and Saif to be the guest on his show and they immediately agreed.
When asked Karan whether what was the other way out if Saif and bebo didn’t agree to be on his show, he said that he would interview himself on the show.

Diwali Is Lucky For Bollywood Directors!

Diwali is not only considered the festival of lights but also a festival of good gains especially in terms of wealth and prosperity. Diwali is a big festival for bollywood industry as well especially for the producers and the directors. Bollywood's big filmmakers always queue up to release their films during Diwali so that their films make good profit at the box office. Diwali release is a big event in film circles. the Hindi film industry looks forward to Diwali to set the cash registers ringing.

This year we have two blockbuster films releases for Diwali. One is Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 3 starring Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Kunal Khemu and the second is Vipul Shah’s Action Replayy starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Let’s take a look at the earlier films which have released at the box office and also made good profit at the box-office:
Last year in diwali we had Rohit Shetty’s All The Best starring Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt and Fardeen Khan along with Mugdha Godse and Bipasha Basu. This film made average gains at the box office
Earlier Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Returns and Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion had made great profit at the box office in 2008 during diwali.
In 2007, we had two big block busters from two renowned film makers, i.e Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om starring Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. Farah Khan desperately wanted her film to release during diwali as she considered it lucky and she thus took the risk of competing with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the risk was truly fruitful
Even Farhan Akhtar’s Don starring Shahrukh Khan had ruled the box office in 2004 in diwali.
Yash Chopra’s Veer Zaara starring Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta which released in 2003 during diwali worked well at the box office mainly because of the music which is based on old and untouched compositions by the late Madan Mohan. At the same time Sterling Investment Corp Pvt Ltd released the colored version of the 1960’s epic film Mughal-e-azam directed by K Asif. This film was again was huge success and ran for 25 weeks at the Box Office.
Similarly Yash Chopra’s Mohabbatein starring Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan made the theatres housefull during diwali in 2000. Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt starrer Mission Kashmir directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra at the same time was an average hit at the box office
In the year 1999, Suraj Barjatiya’s multi starrer film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’ and Eeshwar Nivas’s critically acclaimed direction ‘Shool’ starring manoj Bajpai and Shilpa Shetty has set the cash registers ringing during diwali
Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and David Dhawan’s Bade Miyan Chote miyan were also a big hit at the box office in the year 1998 in diwali.
Yash Chopra’s Dil Toh Pagal Hai, starring Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karishma Kapoor ruled the theatres in 1997
The milestone amongst all these films is Yash Chopra’s Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge starring Shahrukh khan and Kajol which released in diwali in 1996. It not only gained huge success at the box office but it has created a history as it is still running in Maratha Mandir theatre.
Similarly Suraj Barjatiya’s Hum Aapke Hain Kaun starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit which released in 1994 was also running in the theatres for pretty long time made huge profits
Yash Chopra’s Baazigar starring Shahrukh Khan in the negative role was also a major box office hit in the year 1993 in diwali
So these were some films which released during the diwali festival and are considered as Diwali blockbusters. So let’s see whether this diwali proves to be lucky for Vipul Shah and Rohit Shetty for their respective films
